Farmington presents plan for new performing arts center to RBTL
The search for a site for a new performing arts center turned to Ontario County today. The town of Farmington presented its plan to the RBTL.
The proposed site would be at the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack property. Town leaders say the idea is to make Farmington a go-to entertainment community.
Rochester Broadway Theatre League Chairman Arnie Rothschild said, “What we said was we wanted to look at Monroe County sites, but this particular concept is so unique that we felt that we needed to look at it as well, because it combines a lot of a different kind of complex."
The RBTL says it will make its decision after seeing all five of the proposals. The group is still waiting to review three more plans.
