3 Wayne County women charged with embezzling more than $80,000
She is accused of stealing thousands from the people she is supposed to help.
Police say Kelley Girard of Marion is one of three people who stole more than $80,000 from CASH (Community Action in Self Help) program in Lyons.
Girard is executive director. Also facing charges is the office manager, Carrie Girard of Marion and Kortni Calabrese of Palmyra - the bookkeeper.
Investigators discovered the money was missing during an internal audit. They say it started disappearing in December 2003 through 2005.
More arrests are expected.
CASH provides subsidized housing and other assistance to residents in need.
