Heated race for Monroe County Sheriff

On this Election Day 2009, voting is underway across our area and some races are more controversial than others. One getting lots of attention, the run for Monroe County Sheriff. Sheriff Patrick O’ Flynn casted his vote early this morning. 

Some voting inspectors say they don't think many people will come vote, while others at different polling sites say they're anticipating a large turnout.

But we do know Sheriff O' Flynn turned up nice and early here in Penfield. He says although his nerves are going. He's confident with they way his team ran their campaign. But before we met with O' Flynn, we caught up with his opponent, Dan Greene, at Greece Olympia High School. He also casted his vote bright and early. He says he knows he's up for a challenge today.

Voting goes until 9pm at most places, but we'll be tracking on our website. News 10NBC is your election station.
