Body found outside Blockbuster identified
A body that was discovered outside a Blockbuster Video store in Batavia has been identified.
Police say 27-year old James Maher of Batavia was found near the store on Lewiston Road Saturday night. An employee at Blockbuster says his manager found the body next to the store.
Batavia Police tell us there was no visible trauma to the body, which has been transported to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's office.
The Batavian, an online community newspaper, reports that Maher was a resident at a VA home, and that police think it might be a suicide.
Batavia police also say Maher's family in Mechanicville, NY have been notified.
