Settlement reached in sale of expired goods at CVS stores
The State Attorney's General office has reached an $875,000 settlement with CVS to end the sale of expired milk, baby formula, eggs and over the counter medications.
This stems from an undercover investigation last year, which revealed 39-percent of CVS and 22-percent of Rite Aid stores across the state including 25 stores in the Rochester area sold expired products. Some items were more than two years past their expiration dates.
Rite Aid agreed to pay $1.3-million in penalties and fees.
