Man found guilty of beating Rochester baby to death
A man accused of killing his girlfriend's baby has been convicted. Family members of Jasmine Velez say the verdict came in Wednesday night.
Abner Gomez was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
He beat one-and-half-year-old Jasmine Velez to death inside a home on Locust Street last November.
Sentencing is expected in January.
