Legislation proposed to cap credit card interest rates
Are you worried about your credit card bills especially heading into the holiday shopping season?
Congresswoman Louise Slaughter is proposing dramatic legislation to cap interest rates at 16-percent. Some credit cards have gone up to 30-percent and higher for millions of Americans.
If the legislation passes, there could not be the big rate hikes that consumers, even those who pay their balances on time, have been seeing.
