Friends and family gather to remember murder victim

Dozens of friends and family came out Friday night to remember the city's latest homicide victim.

20-year-old Miguel DeJesus was shot and killed on Wilkins Street around 11p.m. Thursdayt.

Friday night, those who knew him, as well as some who didn't, came out to send a message that violence has to stop, and the community needs to speak up.

Maudine Brown-Long mentioned that "people need to come forward and give out information because I know people see what is happening out here in this community. The police can't do it by themselves."

Police are still investigating last night's homicide.
