A 911 dispatcher has been charged with computer trespass.

Matthew P. Gizzi is charged with computer trespass stemming from an incident that happened on March 29.

Officials say the 37-year-old accessed a 911 computer system to gain information for personal use. The 911 computer system is meant to be used only for use in official situations to aid in first responder responses.

Gizzi has been a dispatcher for 16 years. He has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation. He will be arraigned in Rochester City Court on June 19.
