Two men in Steuben County have been arrested and charged in connection to stealing seven calves from a farm.

Last week, Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a farm on Jackson Hill Road in Cameron. The farmer claimed four of his Holstein calves were stolen. Those are dairy cows.

On Monday, three more calves were missing from the same herd. Police got an anonymous tip that the calves were in the town of Jasper and that two men had been trying to sell them.

Last night, sheriff’s deputies arrested 20-year-old Duane Dennis, of Jasper, and 19-year-old Craig Quick, of Woodhaul. Both are charged with grand larceny and police say more charges are pending.

All seven calves were found healthy and returned to their owner.
