A Rochester man is facing several charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Fayette, Seneca County.

Sheriff’s Deputies say they stopped Sam Daniels for failing to stop at a stop sign on State Route 96A and West River Road. According to deputies, Daniels was drunk and under the influence of drugs at the time they stopped them.

Daniels is charged with felony DWI/drugs, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without an interlock device and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Deputies say Daniels was convicted in 2010 for DWI and was required to have an interlock device installed in any vehicle he was operating, which he failed to do.

His license had previously been suspended/revoked 11 times.

Daniels was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail. He is due back in court on July 26.
