Local communities celebrates "National Night Out"

Tuesday night marked "National Night Out" across America. Groups from different communities gather to show their neighborhood spirit and promote partnerships with law enforcement agencies.

News10NBC was in Greece where neighbors came out for a "Family Festival." Organizers say more than a thousand people came to the event throughout the night. They say they hope this showcases the importance of interacting with police and others in the community.

There were also some "National Night Out" activities at Eastmoreland Park in Rochester where kids had the chance it okay to play in the spray from a fire truck hose.

There were also similar events planned on Genesee Street in Rochester and then Wednesday in Irondequoit.
