Police ID man hit by car while riding bicycle in Rochester

nullRochester Police have identified a man who was seriously injured Wednesday night, after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.

Police and paramedics were called to the intersection of West Main and King Street around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Police say 53-year-old Ernest Bright attempted to make a U-turn and rode into traffic without stopping when he was hit.  He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver had a green light and the right of way and will not be ticketed.
