Two adults and one child were rescued from an apartment fire on the city's northeast side Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded to the apartment building on First Street just before 10:30 a.m. The apartment that caught fire was heavily damaged by the flames. Officials say all the other residences in the building are inhabitable and only a couple other residences around the one with the fire sustained minor smoke and water damage.
The Red Cross is providing assistance to the two adults and the child that were rescued from the building.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
