Arrest made in Masseth Street shooting

An arrest has been made in a shooting on the City’s west side. It happened Sunday evening.

Police say the victim and the 18-year-old suspect, Vincent Davis, were involved in an argument at a home on Masseth Street around 9 p.m. That's when investigators say Davis assaulted the victim, pulled out a gun and shot him. Officers say the victim then fired back with his own gun.

While police were on the scene, they received a second call for a man shot on Saratoga Avenue which is about a mile away. Officers found the suspect with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower torso.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. He is now in custody.
