Book your holiday flights now and save money

Flying somewhere for the holidays won't be cheap.  
 
The annual airfare guide from FareCompare.com finds holiday ticket prices will jump anywhere from 30 to 70-percent over normal fares, depending on the route.  
 
If you are planning to fly for Thanksgiving, book your flight now and add an average of $5 to $10 to the price of the ticket for each day you wait.
 
The best time to book a Christmas flight is before November 10 according to FareCompare.com.
