A charge against a Rochester lawyer has been dropped in Pembroke Town Court Tuesday night. The charge of patronizing a prostitute against James Doyle was dropped.

Doyle still face charges of DWI, providing alcohol to a person under 21 and traffic violations.

In August, state police say they found Doyle drunk behind the wheel of his car at a Thruway rest stop. Troopers say Doyle was with a 20-year-old woman, Alicia Guastaferro, who they say is a prostitute. Doyle says she is a family friend.

John Speranza, Doyle's Attorney, said, "The prosecution agreed and indicated they're not refiling a case so the case is really over predicating on its underlying facts or the underlying allegations."

Doyle is scheduled to be back in court on February 12.
