The YMCA's "Invest in Youth" campaign turned out to be a huge success this year. Officials say they were able to raise two million dollars during the fundraiser which culminated Thursday night at the Radisson in Rochester.
That money will be used to make sure no child is ever turned away from programs and services at the YMCA. News10NBC spoke with George Romell, the CEO of the YMCA of the Greater Rochester, who says these donations are very important.
Romell says, "We believe at the Y that all the services we offer should not be turned away for anyone that participates."
Thursday night's event had an Olympic theme and even Abby Wambach had a video-taped message for the audience.
