Obama, civil rights heads to discuss fiscal cliff

nullPresident Barack Obama will meet with the leaders of civil rights groups and other advocacy organizations Friday to get their input on negotiating with Congress to avert tax increases and deep spending cuts on Jan. 1.
 
Obama wants any deficit reduction plan to include tax increases on the wealthy. Republican leaders say they will accept new tax revenue, but not higher tax rates.
