A deal to sell Rochester's downtown Sibley building was finalized Friday.
According to the Rochester Business Journal, a subsidiary of local mall builder, Wilmorite sold Sibley to the Winn Companies of Boston for $5 million.
The new owners plan to renovate the building to include both retail and housing space.
MCC will continue to have a facility there under the school's five year lease extension.
The owners say that area will be converted into office space if MCC decides to relocate after the lease.
Mayor Richards released a statement saying this company has a proven track record for completing renovations.
