Route 250 in Fairport to close in January for repairs

The bridge over the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport will be undergoing repairs in early January.

The Department of Transportation has not determined a start date for the work. The bridge will be temporarily close for six weeks while repairs are being done. The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The decision to make these repairs came following a recent inspection.
