Apartment damaged in fire on Phelps Avenue

Investigators say one apartment unit is badly damaged after a fire started in a house on Phelps Avenue.

Crews were called to the house around midnight on Wednesday. When they arrived, there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the back.

The house has four apartment units and six people living there. Firefighters were able to get everyone out safely.

Only one apartment was damaged and the person living there will not be able to go back in.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
