Schumer: CSX to move forward with demo of unsafe bridges

Good news for people who live in Ogden and Spencerport – Senator Charles Schumer announced Thursday that he has secured a commitment from CSX to remove three abandoned railroad bridges.

Schumer was in Ogden earlier this month calling on CSX to remove the overpasses in Spencerport and Ogden.

The bridges were supposed to be torn down last winter but now CSX says they hope to have started tearing them down by the first half of 2013.
