Lack of snow and cold impacting local businesses

The past couple of weeks were mild and the week ahead shows no real signs of significant snow. So how is the lack of cold weather and snow impacting businesses that depend on it.
Normally, Jim Pandina is busy this time of year. He runs a snow plow business and lately hasn't had much work. Because of last year's low snowfall, he says his contracts have dropped 14%. He hopes to make that up this winter.
The weather isn't cooperating for Doug Miller either. The former Rhinos player, turned coach and businessman launched Glacier Ridge Snow Tubing Park in Greece last winter. While he spends most of his time coaching, he's crossing his fingers that we won't see a repeat of last winter and is hoping for snow or cold to make snow.
Miller said, “We have eight snow guns and we can make 4 feet of snow in 24 hours . For us its got to be cold and right now its 68 degrees out there."
Pandina said, “I am optimistic that we are going to get some snow later on in the winter, but it looks like what you see is what you get."
Both businessmen say they can make up for last winter's losses. They just need some snow and cold winter.
