Police ID pedestrian struck and killed by van in Manchester

State Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian vs. van accident in Ontario County.
The crash happened just after 12:30pm on Country Road 7 in the town of Manchester.
State police say Michael Young, 54, of Newark and James Carmel, 53, of Manchester were loading a used vehicle onto a flatbed trailer on the side of County Road 7 when a passenger van traveling south on County Road 7 hit Young, killing him.
Carmel was able to jump out of the way and was uninjured. The driver of the van, King D. Lewis, 69, of Lyons, was taken to Clifton Springs Hospital.
Police are still investigating. The State Police were assisted by the Manchester Fire Department.
