Healthy state report: New York at #18

Where does New York rank on a list of the healthiest states in America? According to the annual report by the United Health Foundation, New York comes in number 18.
The study says New York has one of the lowest obesity rates but struggles with diabetes and graduation rates.
Vermont was number one because of its high graduation rate, low violent crime rate and low number of infectious disease cases. Hawaii, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Minnesota round out the top five.
Mississippi and Louisiana are tied for least healthy state.
