On Thursday, the Rochester Police Department will present a "Do the Right Thing" award to ten Monroe County students.
The mission of the program is to foster positive relationships between RPD and Rochester's youth, and recognize students.
The recipients of Thursday's awards include a first grader, who told a teacher when a classmate was having a medical issue, and a high school senior, known for speaking up for other students who are being mistreated.
The award ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Public Safety Building located at 185 Exchange Boulevard.
