Former Hillside counselor pleads guilty to sexually abusing 15-year-old resident

The former Hillside Children's Center counselor accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old resident pled guilty in Monroe County Court Thursday.

Matthew King plead guilty to sexually abusing a 15-year-old on several occasions at the facility. King faces six months in Monroe County Jail and 10 years probation. He will also have to register as a sex offender and an order of protection was granted for the victim. He also waived his right to appeal.

King was fired by Hillside.
