Dryden Theatre to close for major renovation project

Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman House is temporarily closing due to a major renovation project. The theatre will close on New Year's Day.

Officials say everything is being updated from the auditorium including the carpeting. The project also included replacing the seating which dates back to 1951.

The public is invited to sponsoring a seat in the renovated auditorium.

The theatre will reopen in March. The original seats will also be for sale. For more information on how you can purchase an old seat or sponsor a new one, click here.
