Investigators looking for cause of Jay Street fire

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire inside a vacant building.
Crews were called to Jay Street just before 5 p.m. on Thursday. When they arrived, officials say there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the first floor. Extra crews were called in because of the size of the building and the fire.
This building had one of the new placards the fire department is using that allow officials to assess potential dangers inside.
"This building was a yellow level building so in our system," says Lieutenant Ted Kuppinger of the Rochester Fire Department. "It has some structural deficiencies, but it is structurally sound."
The building was torn down on Thursday night because officials said it was a danger to crews.
