On Tuesday, County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA) approved tax breaks for the Winn Companies of Boston.
The company plans to renovate the Sibley building in downtown to include both retail and housing space.
MCC will continue to have a facility there under the school's five-year lease extension.
The owners say that area will be converted into office space if MCC decides to relocate after the lease.
