Quiet weather not expected to last

An update from Josh Nichols on what to expect the next few days:
After a little snow overnight, we can expect a quiet Christmas Day with nothing more than a few flurries and a lot of clouds. However, our quiet weather will not last.
A potent winter storm will target Rochester, Western New York and the Finger Lakes beginning later Wednesday night and continuing through most of Thursday.
There is a high probability that the area will experience several hours of heavy snow Thursday morning. Because the exact track of the storm is still somewhat in question, the News10NBC weather team is still fine tuning the forecast to pinpoint exact snowfall projections. However, confidence is high that some of us will experience a heavy accumulation of snow by the close of the day Thursday. Confidence is also high that another system will impact the area with more snow over the weekend, which will be followed by the coldest air of the season so far into next week.
