New laws in NY take effect Tuesday

Right after the stroke of midnight Monday, new laws will take effect in New York State.

Businesses will see some changes in 2013 including a ban on selling electronic cigarettes to minors.

Many stores already prohibit sales of e-cigarettes to children and in a progressive move towards subsidizing green energy, businesses in New York will now get tax exemptions for installing solar energy panels and systems.

Across the country, more than 200 new laws will be on the books for 2013.
