Memorial service to be held for Fairport soldier

Friends and family will say their final goodbyes to a soldier from Fairport who was found dead Christmas morning in Alaska.

A memorial service for Army Private First Class Grant Wise will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Perinton Presbyterian Church.

There will also be calling hours Wednesday afternoon from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Keenan Funeral Home in Fairport

Military officials say the 25 year old was shot to death in another soldier's room on a base in Anchorage, Alaska.
