The former president of the South Seneca Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp. has been charged with 14 counts of petit larceny.
Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies say 44-year-old Richard Heichel of Seneca Falls used a debit card belonging to the South Seneca Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp. to make multiple personal purchases.
Deputies say he was additionally charged with grand larceny for stealing money raised during a community fundraiser held by members of the organization in October 2012.
Heichel is due in court on January 15 to answer to the charges.
