For the second year in a row, the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign has surpassed its goal.
The Salvation Army set a goal of $560,000 and the Rochester community donated more than $597,000. The money supports numerous programs in Monroe County and about 50,000 people throughout the year.
The Salvation Army of Genesee County recently announced that it’s $115,000 short of its goal and will be extending the drive until the end of January.
