Holley man in hospital after snowmobile accident

A Holley man is in the hospital after the snowmobile he was driving hit a car Friday night.

Sheriff's deputies tell News10NBC the crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Friday on the 4400 block of Bennett's Corners Road in the Town of Clarendon.

Investigators say Steven Belknap, 35, was going south in the northbound lane when he crashed head-on into a car.

News10NBC is told Belknap was ejected from the snowmobile, but was wearing a helmet.

He was taken to Strong Hospital where he's in guarded condition as of Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say Belknap faces charges of operating a snowmobile on a public highway and operating in an intoxicated condition.

The driver of the car was not hurt.
