Senator Schumer in Orleans County to talk healthcare

On Monday, Senator Charles Schumer will be in Orleans County to talk about healthcare.

Schumer will announce an extension of a program that provides Medicare payments to rural hospitals including Orleans Community Health Center, Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville and Wyoming County Community Hospital.

The program expired in September but now it has been extended as part of the fiscal cliff deal.

Schumer says it will save more than a million dollars in Medicare funding.
