Rochester took part in the inauguration celebration Monday night with a gala.

Guests were asked to "Dress to impress" while attending a gala that was put on by United Healthcare Workers East. The event, which was held at the Harro East Ballroom, served as both a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and as a way to get the public to take part in celebrating the beginning of President Obama's second term.

Tickets to the gala were $20 for the public and included plenty of food and music for all who attended. The event lasted until 11 p.m. Monday night.
