Spencerport man in guarded condition after snowmobile accident

A Spencerport man remains in guarded condition after being thrown off a snowmobile.

John Battista, 35, suffered a serious head injury. News10NBC is told he was wearing a helmet.

Orleans County Sheriff's Deputies say Battista was riding on a snowmobile north of Roosevelt Highway in the Town of Kendall Wednesday when it went into drainage ditch. Investigators say Battista was thrown off, head first, into another snowmobile.

The rider on that second snowmobile was not injured.
