Rochester man charged with assault

A 48-year-old Rochester man has been charged in connection with a stabbing on Earl Street, near Jefferson Avenue, Wednesday evening.

Rochester Police tell News10NBC during an argument, 17-year-old Khalil McRay tried to intervene and was stabbed in the upper body. McRay was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say they took the suspect, Anthony Murray, into custody without incident and charged him with second-degree assault.
