The results are in for the best pizza in Irondequoit.
Two Ton Tony's wins the title of “the best pizza shop in town” for the second year in a row.
Local pizza shops got to fight for that title at the Irondequoit Pizza Challenge held at the Summerville Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon.
Members of the community were able to come out and enjoy pizza from the competing shops and vote on which one they like best.
“It's a great way for us to raise funds for the church, for the mission projects and things that we do for the church, but it's also a great opportunity for the community to come together, some good fun with the different pizzerias in our community and just for everybody to have a great time and have food to eat.” said event coordinator Linda Hayes.
Other awards besides best pizza shop were also given out. Mark's Pizzeria won best crust and best sauce and Cam's Pizzeria won best specialty pizza.
