A new effort was launched Wednesday to give African-American young men hope for the future.
City Council President Lovely Warren announced "Operation Transformation", a tuition-free program at the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center. It's designed to help black man turn their lives around.
The first part involves getting a GED diploma, that opens the door to study vocational careers like becoming a barber, security guard, the culinary arts, pharmacy and nursing.
