Authorities say a one-month-old baby is hospitalized after the car the child was riding in crashed and overturned on a western New York road.
State Police say troopers who arrived at the scene of Wednesday's late-night crash in Lockport in Niagara County say they found a car on its roof with no one inside or outside the vehicle.
Troopers say two adult males and a woman, along with the infant, were found at a nearby convenience store. All were taken by ambulance to local hospitals. Police say the baby is in critical but stable condition at Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo.
Police charged the man driving the car with driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law because of the baby in the vehicle. The provision makes DWI a felony if a passenger is under 16.
