Rochester man shot on Friederich Park

A 20-year-old Rochester man is recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital after he was shot on Wednesday. It happened just before 4 p.m. on Friederich Park.

Police say the victim was confronted by the suspect as he walked down the street. Investigators say the two began talking and then the suspect shot the man in the upper body. He was taken to the hospital with what police believe are non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
