22 pigs die in Manchester barn fire

A Friday morning fire killed 22 pigs and destroyed a barn in Ontario County.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office tells News10NBC that the fire started around 8:15 a.m. on Freshour Road in the town of Manchester. Investigator say an electrical problem from temporary lighting sparked the fire that eventually engulfed the barn.

Shortsville and Manchester Fire Departments both responded to the fire. The total value loss in the blaze is still trying to be determined.
