There were some intense workouts going on across the Rochester area on Saturday, all in an effort to raise money for sick children.
Nine area gyms took part in the ninth annual Cycle for Hope on Saturday, a spinning event to raise money for the Golisano Children's Hospital and Camp Good Days.
News10NBC stopped by the Rochester Athletic Club in Pittsford Saturday morning to get a look at the action.
Participants got pledges from friends and family members and then started turning the peddles for six hours straight.
Each participant was asked to donate at least $20 dollars per hour.
Organizers say they are impressed by the effort from entire community.
“It's so exciting. It's good to see the spirit here in Rochester, and knowing a lot of clubs here in Rochester are also doing this together today. It's great to be apart of it,” said Regional Group Fitness Director Beth Cole.
Prizes were awarded to the highest fundraisers.
