Two people have been ticketed following a school bus crash in Pittsford on Monday.

Sheriff’s Deputies say a school bus and truck collided on West Bloomfield near the intersection of Thornell Road. The bus driver, Edward Walsh of Greece, told sheriff’s deputies he thought he saw smoke coming from a building and that’s when he jerked the bus into the oncoming lane, hitting the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck, 47-year-old Anthony Marcoccia, of Pittsford, was taken to Strong Hospital and is in satisfactory condition.

Walsh has been ticketed for failure to yield the right of way. Marcoccia of Pittsford was ticketed for driving without a license.

There were no children on the bus.
