Small tsunami hits Solomons

A powerful earthquake off the Solomon Islands damaged dozens of homes and likely killed several people in the South Pacific island chain.
Solomons officials say two waves nearly 5 feet high hit the western side of Santa Cruz Island, damaging about 50 homes and properties.
Many villagers had headed to higher ground, but local police patrols say several people are presumed dead.
