The Seneca Nation of Indians wants to negotiate deal with the Cuomo administration to develop a casino in downtown Rochester. That’s according to a report by The Buffalo News.
News10NBC asked Mayor Tom Richards what he thinks about the report. He said, “One of the places I said it could go is the Kodak site with a big parking lot around it and the two stadiums near it. It doesn't have a negative impact on the area there. It doesn't change the character of the area. We're a long way from that though we really are and I think it's kid of dangerous for us to speculate.”
The discussion happened during an arbitration hearing over $572-million the Senecas owe the state and local governments.
A judge has not ruled on that arbitration.
